A. Dual Pivoting Litter System
Pic The Dual Pivoting Litter System is made up of three basic components; the Litter System Cabinet, the Litter Base and the mobile Litter Carriage. The Litter Cabinet is installed on the left side of the cabin, and serves both as the platform on which the Litter Base and Carriage are mounted, as well as an additional storage area for medical equipment or supplies. From this position, the Carriage can be repositioned fore and aft, thereby allowing a medical attendant to sit comfortably at the head of the litter. In addition, to facilitate medical treatment to the patient’s side, the litter can be repositioned to a diagonal position while in-flight. 2. Copilot Seat Installed The Litter Cabinet is installed in the same position as described above, and can be repositioned in a similar manner. However, in order to facilitate treatment to the patient’s head, the medical attendant must be positioned in a sliding, pivoting attendant seat (described below), with the Litter System positioned diagonally within the cabin area. B. Sliding Pivoting Attendant Seat (quick change) Pic A sliding and pivoting attendant seat is installed on the right side of the cabin on a quick change plate (4 hard points for quick removal) just inboard of the cabin door. On the plate are two 24 inch seat tracks allowing the attendant seat fore and aft movement, inches from just aft of the flight control column to just forward of the bench seat, enabling the attendant better access to the patient while safely seated and restrained. C. Pivoting Seat (secondary) Pic Secondary medical attendant pivoting seat is the same seat as the primary but it is installed in the copilot’s seat position. This allows for a flight crew member to ride in this seat on the outbound flight for better vision and to help clear the helicopter in close areas such as scene work or flying through high density air traffic areas. The seat can be rotated to the aft facing position for the return flight allowing the litter to be positioned in the full forward position.*NOTE: All Medical Crew Seating features color coordinated vinyl covering, painted base, adjustable lumbar support, dual shoulder harness and lap belt (single point release) restraint system and head restraint. All seats are certified for fore, aft and lateral facing positions. To protect the aircraft from damage and to make cleaning/disinfecting easy, a molded slip resistant flooring system is used to contain body and environmental fluids.
E. Respiratory Gas System
Pic Components available for the respiratory gas supply system are: liquid oxygen or light weight kevlar wrapped aviation oxygen cylinders, single or dual vacuum pumps and medical air supplied by cylinder or 28 VDC pumps.
F. Intravenous Hooks
Pic Fixed or tracking I.V. hooks may be installed in the cabin overhead. Placement is a customer option. G. Emergency Medical System Radios A complete line of FM radios can be installed to meet all mission needs. Radio package can include the 800mhz radio and computer data link. H. High Intensity Cabin Lighting Pic True spectrum High Intensity Cabin Lighting will be supplied with controllable intensity. This light intensity output (foot candles) and proximity of the lights with respect to the patient closely approximates emergency department diagnostic lighting characteristics. I. Rear Medical Cabinet Pic Cabinet may be used as a life support panel that would provide an area to install O2, air and vacuum outlets as well as 110 VAC outlets. Individualized storage units can be fabricated to fulfill your program’s need. J. Pylon Life Support Panel (left or right side) Panel will provide an area to install O2, air, vacuum and 110 VAC outlets. K. Electrical Support (shorepower Designed to provide electrical power when the aircraft is not in service. Power would be 110 VAC, also included within this support system would be an inverter to provide 110 VAC, during flight operation. System can be customized to meet any needs and controlled by a medical electrical control panel. Panel controls power to the 110 VAC system on and off switches for vacuum and air pumps and an adjustable rheostat to control patient high intensity lights. Mounts can be installed to provide necessary placement of many items i.e., ventilator, I.V. pump, blender, aortic balloon pump, transport incubator, life pack 5/10.
In aircraft used for multi-mission profiles where the customer does not want any medical life support equipment permanently installed, the following configuration is offered.
A 17” w x 33” l x 8.75” h tubular base supports the dual pivoting litter system. The base quickly attaches to four (4) hardpoints installed in the aircraft. A life support package consisting of the following is installed in the base: |
